My name is Gregory Rupelli — I am a lifelong student and teacher of health and fitness, a personal trainer, and the creator of Helot Fitness.
At the age of three I started playing organized sports. At eleven, my dad taught me how to do my first bicep curls in our basement. After high school I continued to play sports recreationally, became more invested in my health and fitness, and began training my friends and family. In 2019 I finally decided it was time to make a career out of training, became a nationally certified personal trainer through ACE, and haven't looked back.
In 2016 my reality was flipped on its head. I became sick to the point I was unable to get proper nutrition, and it took two years to reach a diagnosis of histamine intolerance. It then took another 8 years to learn how to manage my condition and maintain a healthy, functional life. For me, health and fitness isn't a convenience — it's a necessary component to my life that cannot be overlooked if I wish to truly live. I've learned all of the metrics that aid in improving our physical condition, but through experience I've learned what fitness truly is: connection. Fitness is one of the purest ways to connect to yourself, your body, the earth, and the people around you. More than our muscles, it is the essence of being human. The fitter you are, the more of yourself you get to be. There are aspects of yourself you never get to unlock, versions of yourself you will not meet until you confront your health, your mortality, and your accountability. But that's the wonderful thing about training. You don't have to do it alone. We build together, and I hope you'll build with me.
Three principles guide everything I do as a coach.
Every client walks in with a story. I listen before I coach — because understanding where you're coming from is the first step to getting you where you want to go.
I don't believe in cookie-cutter programs. Every plan is built around your specific goals, lifestyle, and body — because what works for someone else might not work for you.
Fitness is better together. Whether you're training solo or in a group, you're part of the Helot Fitness family — and we show up for each other.
I invest in my education so you can invest in your health with confidence. Here's what I bring to every session.
From organized sports at age three to bicep curls in the basement at eleven — fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. After high school I kept playing sports recreationally and started training friends and family informally.
In 2019 I made it official: I became a nationally certified personal trainer through ACE and founded Helot Fitness. I haven't looked back since. I'm a lifelong student of health and fitness, and I bring that passion to every single session.
